We looked out the window the other day and saw the “Mama” round-tailed ground squirrel trying to tear a piece off of a beach towel on the patio. She is going to have a litter soon, and probably wanted some comfort for the pups. The little ones pictured were taken a couple of years ago in the same holes that this “Mama” is living in now. I put out a few fabric scraps for her, including some SpongeBob SquarePants fabric. All of it was gone, except some partially pulled down into a hole. All is gone now. So, the kids will have their beds with SpongeBob SquarePants mattresses.
