For as long as I can remember, I have always loved art. I enjoy expressing my art through creations, in various mediums.
In junior high, high school, and college I was fortunate to have wonderful art teachers. I began selling my paintings at the age of 14.
Drawing has always been my favorite thing to do. I have a sketch pad with me everywhere I go.
At age 5 my sister and I used to take our Mardi Gras beads apart and put them in a suitcase. We’d sit for hours and restring them.
While my Mom sewed when I was little, I’d sit next to her and watch. She said she had no idea that I was learning by watching.
It’s hard to throw away a scrap of fabric when I sew. Quilting is a wonderful way to use all of them.
A lady from Germany taught me how to knit when I was 8 years old. I have loved it every since.
My fascination with making one long piece of yarn into fabric expanded when I started crocheting.
My first camera was a Brownie. I later learned dark room techniques, did my own black and white negatives, and printed them. Then, digital came along. Now I can take 3000 photos instead of 300.
I love to cook. My kitchen shelves are full of colorful Le Creuset enameled cast iron, vintage Pyrex bowls, handmade pot holders and napkins.
One of my favorite things to do each afternoon is to sit in my garden and feed the birds.
Thank you for visiting!
